With the introduction of the Japanese medium tank line, it has been rendered one of the most pointless premium tanks in the game due to being mostly identical to the standard Type 3 Chi-Nu. Compared to a fully upgraded Type 3 Chi-Nu , it has a better hull traverse speed and stronger turret armour, in exchange for worse gun depression and worse mobility. By Tasty , August 12, in Passed for Consideration. However, the Chi-Nu itself was originally intended to be a stopgap while the larger, more armored and better armed Chi-To and Chi-Ri were in development. The initial plan was to simply place the second Chi-To turret onto a Chi-Nu chassis.
Jump to content. As the turret armor is supposed to be an improvement over the Chi-Nu but it isn't it, I think the Chi-Nu Kai should get the 7. The tank would become unique instead of the completely worse Chi-Nu that it is now with it's limited turret and hull mobility, gun depression, and radio. That and as far as prems go, WG tends to stick with what was actually designed for that specific model of tank if applicable , so changing the gun isn't likely to happen. IMO your proposal would make the Chi-Nu simply a worse tank.
